Walking
Start from the main square, Glavni trg, in Kamnik. Head south towards the street called Novi trg. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection. At the intersection, turn left onto Novi trg. Continue walking for about 300 meters, and you will find Stari grad nad Kamnikom (the Old Castle above Kamnik) on the hill to your right. Look for the path that leads up the hill, and follow it. The trail is well-marked and will lead you directly to the castle.

From the Kamnik bus station, take bus number 5 towards the Kamnik-Šmarca direction. Get off at the 'Novi trg' stop. From there, walk along Novi trg for about 300 meters, and look for the path leading up the hill to your right. Follow the path to reach Stari grad nad Kamnikom.
