Getting There

    From Koper, take bus line 23 from the Koper bus station. The bus will take you directly to Aquileia. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance for departure times. The journey will take approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive at the Aquileia bus station, exit the bus and head north on Via Aquileia for about 500 meters until you reach Via XXIV Maggio, where the Archaeological area of Aquileia is located.

  • Train

    From Koper, head to the Koper train station. Take a train towards Udine. Get off at the Udine train station, which takes about 1 hour. From Udine, you can take a regional bus to Aquileia. The bus stop is located just outside the train station. The bus ride will take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Aquileia, walk east on Via XXIV Maggio for about 10 minutes to reach the Archaeological area of Aquileia.

  • Walking

    If you are in the central area of Koper, you can take a leisurely walk to the nearby attractions and then catch a bus or a train to Aquileia. Walk towards the Koper bus station or train station, which are both centrally located. It would be approximately a 15-minute walk. After reaching either station, follow the previously mentioned bus or train instructions to reach the Archaeological area of Aquileia.
