Bus
From Nova Gorica, head to the Nova Gorica bus station, which is located near the city center. Take bus number 28 towards Trieste. The journey will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Disembark at the Trieste bus station (Stazione Ferroviaria di Trieste). From there, walk straight out of the station and head towards Via della Libertà. Continue walking until you reach Corso Italia. Turn left and walk until you reach Piazza Nicolò Tommaseo. The Greek Orthodox Church of Saint Nicholas will be on your right.

From Nova Gorica, go to the Nova Gorica train station. Take a train towards Trieste. The train ride will take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Trieste Centrale, exit the train station. Walk down Via della Libertà straight to Corso Italia and turn left. Continue walking until you reach Piazza Nicolò Tommaseo, where the Greek Orthodox Church of Saint Nicholas is located.

If you are already in the center of Nova Gorica, you can take a leisurely walk to the border crossing at the Solkan Bridge. Cross into Italy, and continue walking towards Trieste. Follow the signs directing you towards the city center. Once you reach Trieste, head towards Piazza Nicolò Tommaseo, where the Greek Orthodox Church of Saint Nicholas is located. This is a longer journey, approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, but it offers a scenic view of the area.
