Bus
From the center of Nova Gorica, head to the Nova Gorica Bus Station located at Ulica Tolminskih Puntarjev 4. Look for the bus line heading towards Soča. Make sure to check the schedule as buses may not run frequently. Once on the bus, enjoy the scenic ride for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the stop for Soča. After disembarking, walk towards Lepena, which is about a 10-minute walk down the road. Follow the signs for Šunikov vodni gaj, and you will reach your destination.

If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Nova Gorica. Start your journey by heading towards the main road, Ulica Šempeter. Follow the road signs towards Soča, which is about 12 kilometers away. The route is mostly flat and follows the Soča River, offering beautiful views. Once you reach Soča, continue towards Lepena, where you will find Šunikov vodni gaj, approximately a 5-minute ride from the center of Soča.

For those who enjoy walking, begin your journey at the Nova Gorica city center. Head northwest towards the border crossing at the Soča River. Follow the path along the riverbank for about 6 kilometers until you reach the village of Soča. Once in Soča, continue walking towards Lepena, which is approximately a 20-minute walk from the village. Look for signs leading to Šunikov vodni gaj, and you'll arrive at your destination.
