Getting There

Walking
From the center of Portorož, start at the main promenade along the coast, known as Obala. Walk towards the northeast direction until you reach the intersection with the road leading to Sečovlje. Continue walking on the promenade until you reach the Portorož Marina. From here, follow the signs towards Sečovlje. You will pass by the Grand Hotel Bernardin, and then keep walking straight until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto the road leading to Sečovlje. This is approximately a 30-minute walk (around 2.5 km). Follow this road until you reach the entrance of Sečovlje/Sicciole Saltpans Park, located at Parecag 301.

To reach Sečovlje/Sicciole Saltpans Park by bus, start at the main bus stop in Portorož, located near the center. Take the bus heading towards Sečovlje. The bus ride will take around 15-20 minutes. Make sure to check the bus schedule as buses may not run frequently. Get off at the bus stop closest to Sečovlje. From there, it’s a short walk (approximately 10 minutes) to the park entrance at Parecag 301. Follow the signs to the saltpans park, which will guide you along the way.
