    From the center of Portorož, head towards the coastline and walk north along the promenade. Continue walking until you reach the end of the promenade where it intersects with the main road. Turn left onto the main road (Prešernova ulica) and follow the signs towards Piran. After about 2 km of walking, you will reach the entrance to Piran. Continue walking straight, following the road as it leads into the old town. As you enter Piran, you will see a large square (Tartini Square). From the square, head towards Cankarjevo nabrežje. The museum is located at Cankarjevo nabrežje 3, right along the waterfront.

  • Public Transport

    From the Portorož bus station, take bus line 1 towards Piran. The ride takes about 10 minutes. Get off at the Piran bus station. Once you exit the bus station, walk towards the old town which is a short 10-minute walk. Follow the signs towards Tartini Square, then proceed to Cankarjevo nabrežje. The Sergej Mašera Maritime Museum is located at Cankarjevo nabrežje 3, just a short walk from the square.

    If you have access to a bike, you can ride from Portorož towards Piran. Start from the main promenade and cycle north along the coastline. Follow the bike path that leads to Piran, which is about 2 km away. As you approach Piran, park your bike in one of the designated bike racks near the old town entrance. Then walk towards Tartini Square and continue to Cankarjevo nabrežje. The museum is at Cankarjevo nabrežje 3, right along the waterfront.
