From the center of Portorož, head towards the coast and follow the promenade along the beach. Continue walking north towards Lucija. Once you reach Lucija, look for the bus stop near the Hotel Histrion. Take the local bus to Umag. The bus ride will take around 30 minutes. After arriving in Umag, exit at the 'Umag' bus station. From there, head east on Ulica J. L. Kralja. Walk straight until you reach the intersection with Ulica St. Marije. Turn left onto Ulica St. Marije, and you will see the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary on your right.

Rent a bicycle in Portorož and head north along the coastal bike path towards Umag. The route is quite scenic and takes you through beautiful landscapes. Follow the signs for the bike route to Umag. Once you arrive in Umag, park your bicycle at the designated bike parking area near the city center. From there, continue on foot by heading east on Ulica J. L. Kralja, then turn left onto Ulica St. Marije to reach the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
