Walking
From the center of Portorož, head towards the coast and walk along the coast road (Obala). Continue walking north towards the border with Croatia. After approximately 20-30 minutes, you will reach the border crossing into Croatia. Once you cross into Croatia, continue straight on the coastal path. Follow the signs towards Umag. The walk should take about another 30 minutes. You will eventually arrive at Šetalište Miramare, where Umag Sandy beach is located.

From Portorož, take a local bus towards Umag. The bus stop is usually located near the main tourist information center. Ensure you check the schedule as buses may run less frequently on weekends. The journey to Umag takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Umag bus station, exit the bus and head towards the coast. Walk along the coastal path towards Šetalište Miramare. It will take approximately 15-20 minutes to reach Umag Sandy beach from the bus station.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from various rental shops in Portorož. Start by heading towards the coastal path (Obala) and follow it north towards the border with Croatia. After crossing the border, continue on the coastal road. The total distance is around 10 kilometers, and it should take you about 30-40 minutes to reach Umag Sandy beach, depending on your cycling speed.
