From Škofja Loka, head to the main bus station located at Trg svobode. You can catch a bus to Idrija. Buses run several times a day. Once you arrive at the Idrija bus station, you will need to walk to the museum.

After arriving at the Idrija bus station, exit the station and head southwest on Cankarjeva cesta toward Prelovčeva ulica. Continue on Cankarjeva cesta for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection with Prelovčeva ulica. Turn right onto Prelovčeva ulica and walk for another 200 meters. The Idrija Municipal Museum will be on your left at Prelovčeva ulica 9.
