If you are traveling by car, start your journey from the nearest major town in the Bushveld region. Head towards the N1 highway. If you are in Polokwane, take the N1 north towards Musina. Continue on the N1 for approximately 200 kilometers until you reach the exit for the R572 towards Mapungubwe National Park. Follow the R572 for about 40 kilometers until you see the signs for Mapungubwe National Park. The entrance to the park is well-marked and has a visitor center where you can pay the entrance fee, which is approximately R100 per person. Ensure you check the park hours as they are open daily from 6 AM to 6 PM.

To reach Mapungubwe National Park via public transport, you can take a bus from Polokwane to Musina. Several bus services operate this route, such as Greyhound or Intercape, and the journey takes about 2.5 to 3 hours.
