Public Bus
From the Cape Town city center, head to the Civic Centre Bus Station. Take the MyCiTi bus route 109 towards the airport. Get off at the 'Hermanus' stop where you will transfer to the bus route 101 towards Kommetjie. After about 20 minutes, disembark at the 'Long Beach' stop. The beach will be a short walk from the bus stop.

Head to the nearest minibus taxi rank, which can be found at the Strand Street taxi rank in Cape Town. Look for a minibus taxi heading towards 'Kalk Bay' or 'Fish Hoek'. Inform the driver you want to get off at 'Kommetjie'. Once you arrive in Kommetjie, walk towards Long Beach; it should take about 15 minutes on foot.

Bicycle Rental and Ride
Rent a bicycle from a rental shop in the city. Follow the Sea Point Promenade towards Camps Bay and continue along the coastline. You will eventually reach Hout Bay. From Hout Bay, cycle along the scenic Chapman's Peak Drive, then head towards Kommetjie. Long Beach is located near the Kommetjie area, and you can park your bike at a designated area before enjoying the beach.
