Walking
If you are starting from the Cape Town Central Train Station, exit the station and head towards the north on Adderley Street. Continue walking straight until you reach Strand Street, then turn right. Walk along Strand Street until you reach the intersection with Bree Street. Turn left onto Bree Street and walk until you reach the waterfront area. Once you reach the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, continue walking along the waterfront promenade until you see Dock Road. Turn left onto Dock Road and walk towards 9 Dock Rd, where you will find the Portswood Tunnel.

From the Cape Town Central Bus Station located at the Civic Centre, take the MyCiTi bus route. Board the bus heading towards the V&A Waterfront. The bus will take you directly to the waterfront area. Once you arrive at the V&A Waterfront, exit the bus and head towards Dock Road. Walk along Dock Road until you reach 9 Dock Rd, where you will find the Portswood Tunnel.

If you prefer to cycle, you can rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in the city center. Start at the Company’s Garden and cycle towards the V&A Waterfront. Follow the dedicated cycling paths that lead you down to the waterfront area. Once you arrive, head towards Dock Road and cycle along it until you reach 9 Dock Rd, where Portswood Tunnel is located.
