Getting There

After approximately 3 kilometers, turn left onto Jonkershoek Road. Continue on Jonkershoek Road for about 5 kilometers. Old Nectar Gardens will be on your right. Look for the entrance which is well marked. Parking is available on-site.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Old Nectar Gardens via public transport, start by taking a taxi or bus to Stellenbosch. From the Stellenbosch town center, you can catch a local taxi service that heads towards Jonkershoek. Inform the driver that you want to go to Old Nectar Gardens. The fare is typically around R30-40. Once you arrive at Jonkershoek Road, walk approximately 1 kilometer to reach the entrance of Old Nectar Gardens, which will be on your right.

• Bicycle

  For the adventurous, consider cycling to Old Nectar Gardens. Rent a bicycle in Stellenbosch and head towards Jonkershoek Road. It's a scenic route, and you can enjoy the beautiful vineyards along the way. The distance is about 5 kilometers from the center of Stellenbosch, and the journey will take approximately 20-30 minutes depending on your cycling speed. Ensure to wear a helmet and follow traffic rules.

• Walking

  If you are staying in Stellenbosch and prefer walking, you can reach Old Nectar Gardens on foot. The walk is about 5 kilometers and will take approximately an hour. Head towards Jonkershoek Road from the town center, and walk straight for about 5 kilometers. It’s a pleasant walk, but do wear comfortable shoes and bring water, especially on warm days.
