Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the town of Underberg, which is a common base for exploring the Drakensberg region. From Underberg, take the R617 road towards Himeville. Continue on the R617 for about 15 kilometers until you reach the junction with the R56. Turn left onto the R56 and drive for approximately 10 kilometers. You will then see a sign for the Giant's Cup Trail on your right. Follow the dirt road for about 5 kilometers until you reach the parking area at the trailhead. From the parking area, it is a short walk to the Swiman Hut.

To reach Swiman Hut using public transportation, take a bus or shuttle service from Durban or Pietermaritzburg to Underberg.
