Car
If you are driving from the town of Hluhluwe, take the N2 highway northbound. Continue on the N2 for approximately 50 kilometers until you reach the town of Mkuze. From Mkuze, turn onto the R69 road towards Ndumo Game Reserve. Follow the R69 for about 30 kilometers until you reach the entrance of the reserve. Be aware that some roads may be unpaved, so a vehicle with good clearance is recommended.

First, take a local taxi or mini-bus from your location in Elephant Coast (e.g., St. Lucia or Mkuze) to the nearest larger city, Mkuze. From Mkuze, you can find shared taxis that head towards Ndumo Game Reserve. Make sure to confirm with the driver that they will be stopping at Ndumo. The fare for the taxi from St. Lucia to Mkuze is typically around 50 ZAR, and from Mkuze to Ndumo, it might be around 30 ZAR. The total journey may take around 2-3 hours depending on connections.
