Car

If you're traveling by car, start your journey from the nearest major town, Tzaneen. Head east on the R71 road towards Modjadji. Continue on the R71 for about 25 kilometers until you reach the turnoff for the R36. Turn left onto the R36 and follow it for approximately 15 kilometers. Look for the signs indicating the entrance to Modjadji Nature Reserve. Once you arrive, there may be a small entrance fee, which is typically around R30 per person.
Public Transport

For those using public transport, take a bus or minibus taxi from Tzaneen to Modjadji. These taxis frequently depart from Tzaneen's central taxi rank and will take you directly to Modjadji. The fare is usually around R20. Once you arrive at the Modjadji area, you may need to walk or arrange a local taxi to reach the entrance of Modjadji Nature Reserve, which is about 5 kilometers from the main road.

If you are already in Modjadji and prefer to walk, head towards the main entrance of the Modjadji Nature Reserve from the village center. It's a scenic walk of about 5 kilometers along dirt roads. Ensure you have comfortable walking shoes and stay hydrated, especially in the warm weather.
