Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, start by entering Table Mountain National Park through the main entrance at the Lower Cableway Station. From there, drive along the scenic road leading to the Constantia Nek. Follow the road signs towards the Nursery Ravine. Once you reach the Nursery Ravine parking area, you can park your car. The trailhead to Nursery Buttress starts from here. Ensure you have a parking plan, as there may be a small parking fee.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, take the MyCiTi bus to the 'Kirstenbosch Gardens' stop. From there, you can either take a short taxi ride to the Nursery Ravine parking area or walk approximately 2.5 kilometers along the road towards the nursery area. Be prepared for some uphill walking. Once you reach the Nursery Ravine, follow the signs to the trailhead for Nursery Buttress. Remember to check the bus schedule in advance for return trips.

• Hiking

  If you're already in the park and prefer hiking, the trail to Nursery Buttress can be accessed from various points within the park. The most direct route is to start at the Nursery Ravine trailhead. The hike is moderately challenging and will take approximately 1-1.5 hours depending on your pace. Be sure to bring plenty of water and wear appropriate footwear.
