If you are driving, start from the town of Coffee Bay, which is a popular accommodation point in Wild Coast. Head southwest on the R61 towards Mthatha. After about 25 km, take the exit onto the R61 towards Port St Johns. Continue on the R61 for about 50 km until you reach the turnoff for the Isinuka Mud Caves and Sulphur Pools. Follow the signs to the site. There is usually no entrance fee, but confirm locally as it can change.

If you are using public transportation, take a taxi or minibus from Coffee Bay to Mthatha. From Mthatha, you can catch another taxi heading towards Port St Johns. Inform the driver that you are visiting the Isinuka Mud Caves and Sulphur Pools. You may have to walk a short distance from the drop-off point to the site. Be prepared to pay a fare for each leg of the journey, approximately R50-100 depending on the distance.
