Getting There

    From the center of Aiken, walk to the Aiken Transit bus stop located at 120 York St NE. Take the bus route that heads towards Windsor. You may need to transfer at the Aiken Transit terminal to a route that goes toward Windsor. Ensure you ask the driver for the next stop near Aiken State Park or check the bus schedule for the closest stop. The ride should take approximately 30-45 minutes depending on transfers and wait times.

  • Bicycle

    Start from downtown Aiken and head northeast on York St NE towards the intersection with US-1. Turn left onto US-1 and continue for about 6 miles. You'll reach SC-302, where you will turn right. Follow SC-302 for approximately 3 miles until you see signs for Aiken State Park. The park entrance will be on your right. The entire trip may take about 45 minutes to 1 hour depending on your cycling speed.

  • Walking

    If you choose to walk, start at the Aiken Visitor Center located at 133 Laurens St SW. Head east on Laurens St toward York St NE. Turn right onto York St NE and continue until you reach US-1. From there, carefully cross US-1 and follow the road towards Windsor. Continue straight for about 9 miles on foot, making sure to stay on the sidewalk where available. Look for signage directing you to Aiken State Park on your left. This walk may take around 2-3 hours depending on your pace.
