If you are in the downtown area of Beaufort, start by walking towards Bay Street. Head southeast on Bay Street until you reach the intersection with Carteret Street. Turn left onto Carteret Street and continue until you reach the end of the street, where it meets the bridge to Hilton Head Island. Cross the bridge on foot. Once you arrive on Hilton Head Island, continue straight on William Hilton Parkway (US 278). After about a mile, look for the signs directing you to Shelter Cove on your right. Continue onto Shelter Cove Lane, and you will find 'Outside Hilton Head' at 1 Shelter Cove Ln.

If you have access to a bicycle, start in downtown Beaufort and cycle towards Bay Street. Head southeast on Bay Street, then turn left onto Carteret Street. Follow Carteret Street to the end and cross the bridge to Hilton Head Island. Once over the bridge, continue cycling straight on William Hilton Parkway (US 278). After about a mile, take the exit for Shelter Cove. Follow the signs to Shelter Cove Lane, and you will arrive at 'Outside Hilton Head' at 1 Shelter Cove Ln.
