If you have access to a bicycle, you can ride from downtown Beaufort to Tybee Island. Start on Bay Street and head south towards the waterfront. Follow Bay Street until it turns into Parris Island Gateway. Continue straight for about 15 miles, following the signs to Tybee Island. Once you reach Tybee Island, follow the road to the right toward Meddin Drive. The Tybee Island Light Station & Museum will be on your left at 30 Meddin Dr.

You can take the public bus from Beaufort to Tybee Island. Start by walking to the nearest bus stop on Carteret Street. Board the bus that heads towards Savannah. After reaching Savannah, transfer to a bus that goes to Tybee Island. Once you arrive on Tybee Island, walk towards Meddin Drive and follow the directions to the Tybee Island Light Station & Museum, which is located at 30 Meddin Dr.

If you're feeling adventurous and the weather is nice, you can walk from downtown Beaufort to Tybee Island. Start on Bay Street heading south, then follow Parris Island Gateway for about 15 miles.
