If you are traveling by car, start by heading to Folly Beach, which is approximately 12 miles from downtown Charleston. You can take US-17 S to Folly Road (SC-171), following signs for Folly Beach. Once on Folly Road, continue until it turns into E Ashley Avenue. Drive along E Ashley Ave, and you will find the Morris Island Lighthouse at the end of the road, near the intersection with 17th Street. There is limited parking available at the end of E Ashley Ave. Be cautious as parking is on the street and may require payment depending on the time of year.

Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take the CARTA bus #30 from downtown Charleston to Folly Beach. The bus service runs regularly, and you can catch it at the Visitor Center. Once you arrive in Folly Beach, you will need to walk approximately 1.5 miles to reach Morris Island Lighthouse. Head east on E Ashley Avenue, and continue walking until you reach the lighthouse. The walk will take around 30 minutes, so wear comfortable shoes. Note that there may be a small fare for the bus.
