If you're traveling by car from downtown Charleston, take US-17 North. Continue on US-17 North for approximately 4 miles until you reach the exit for SC-703 towards Sullivan's Island. Follow SC-703 for about 3 miles, which will take you directly onto Sullivan's Island. Once on the island, follow the signs for the beach access points. There are several public access points along the beachfront, and parking is available at designated areas. Note that parking may incur fees, so be prepared with cash or a card.

For those using public transportation, you can take the CARTA bus service from downtown Charleston. Board the 40 bus at any nearby stop and travel towards the Isle of Palms. Get off at the stop for Sullivan's Island. From there, it's about a 15-minute walk to the beach. Just head east on Middle Street until you reach the beachfront. Make sure to check the CARTA schedule in advance for the latest times and routes. A one-way ticket costs approximately $2.

If you prefer to cycle, you can rent a bike from one of the rental shops in downtown Charleston. From there, bike north towards Sullivan's Island via the scenic route along the waterfront. Follow the bike lanes on East Bay Street, which will lead you towards US-17. Take the designated bike paths to reach Sullivan's Island. The ride is about 5 miles and can take approximately 30-45 minutes, depending on your pace. Once on the island, you can easily find bike racks to securely park your bike while you enjoy the beach.
