Once at the waterfront, locate the closest bus stop for the Kanawha Metro, which will take you directly to Kanawha Boulevard East. After getting off the bus, walk east on Kanawha Boulevard until you see the West Virginia State Capitol at 1900 Kanawha Blvd E.

Find the nearest bus stop to your location in Charleston. You can use the CARTA (Charleston Area Regional Transportation Authority) bus service. Look for a bus that heads towards the West Virginia area or ask the driver if they stop near Kanawha Boulevard East. After boarding the bus, inform the driver of your destination. Once you arrive at the closest stop to 1900 Kanawha Blvd E, disembark and walk east along Kanawha Boulevard until you reach the West Virginia State Capitol.
