Car
If you're driving from downtown Charleston, start on Kanawha Blvd E and head south. Continue straight onto US-119 S, then merge onto I-64 E. Take exit 56 for WV-61 S toward Kanawha State Forest. Follow WV-61 S for about 5 miles. Turn left onto Kanawha State Forest Dr, and the entrance will be on your right. Parking is available on site.

To reach Kanawha State Forest via public transportation, board the Kanawha Valley Regional Transportation Authority (KVRTA) bus route 12 from downtown Charleston. Ride the bus until you reach the stop at the intersection of WV-61 and Kanawha State Forest Dr. From there, it is about a 0.5-mile walk to the main entrance of the park. Follow Kanawha State Forest Dr until you reach the park entrance.
