Car
From Congaree National Park, head northeast on Congaree Park Rd toward SC-48. Turn right onto SC-48 and continue for about 12 miles. Merge onto US-1 N toward McBee. After approximately 20 miles, you will reach the Carolina Sandhills National Wildlife Refuge Admin Building and Visitor Contact Station located at 23734 US-1, McBee, SC 29101. There is ample parking available at the visitor center.

There is no direct public transportation from Congaree National Park to the Carolina Sandhills National Wildlife Refuge. However, you can take a bus or train from nearby cities to Hartsville, SC. From Hartsville, you would need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to reach the refuge, which is approximately 25 miles away. Be sure to check local transportation schedules as they may vary.
