Getting There

  • Car

    From Congaree National Park, head northeast on SC-48 E. Continue on SC-48 E for about 10 miles until you reach I-77 N. Merge onto I-77 N and continue for approximately 30 miles. Take exit 83 for I-85 N toward Charlotte. Continue on I-85 N for about 25 miles, then take exit 102 for SC-11 toward Gaffney. Follow SC-11 for about 10 miles until you reach Chesnee Hwy (US-221). Turn left onto Chesnee Hwy, and after about 1 mile, the Cowpens National Battlefield Visitor Center will be on your right at 4001 Chesnee Hwy, Gaffney, SC 29341. There are no tolls on this route.
