From any location within Francis Marion National Forest, head towards Highway 17. Look for signs directing you to McClellanville. Once on Highway 17, take the exit for SC-45 towards McClellanville. Continue on SC-45 for approximately 10 miles until you reach Rutledge Road. Turn left onto Rutledge Road and follow it for about 2 miles. You will see the entrance to Hampton Plantation State Historic Site on your right at 1950 Rutledge Rd, McClellanville, SC 29458.
