Getting There

    If you are starting from Coligny Beach Park, head north on South Forest Beach Drive towards Pope Avenue. Continue on Pope Avenue until you reach the intersection with Beach City Road. Turn right onto Beach City Road. Continue biking for approximately 1.5 miles, and you will find Historic Mitchelville Freedom Park on your left at 229 Beach City Rd.

    From the Hilton Head Island Welcome Center located at 1 Chamber of Commerce Drive, exit onto William Hilton Parkway (US-278). Walk west for about 0.5 miles until you reach Pope Avenue. Turn left onto Pope Avenue and walk for another mile. When you reach Beach City Road, turn right and continue walking for approximately 0.5 miles. Historic Mitchelville Freedom Park will be on your left at 229 Beach City Rd.
