Getting There

Bus

To reach Johnson Square in Savannah from Hilton Head Island, start by walking to the nearest bus stop. You can take the Palmetto Breeze transit bus #1 from Hilton Head Island to Savannah. The bus will take you to the Savannah Visitor Center. Once you arrive at the Visitor Center, it is about a 15-minute walk to Johnson Square. Exit the Visitor Center and head northwest on W Bay St toward Abercorn St. Continue straight onto E Bryan St. Johnson Square will be on your left at 2 E Bryan St.
Bicycle

If you prefer to cycle, you can rent a bike from one of the rental shops in Hilton Head. Start by heading towards the Cross Island Parkway bike path which leads you towards the mainland. Follow the path to the nearest ferry terminal that goes to Savannah (the closest is in Bluffton). Once you reach Bluffton, take the ferry to Savannah. From the ferry landing, cycle north on River St, then turn left onto Abercorn St and continue until you reach E Bryan St. Johnson Square will be on your right.
Walking

If you're up for an adventure, you can walk to Johnson Square from Hilton Head Island, though this is quite a long trek. Start by walking to the nearest bus stop and take the Palmetto Breeze transit bus #1 to Savannah. After arriving at the Savannah Visitor Center, walk northwest on W Bay St for about 0.7 miles. Turn left on Abercorn St, then left onto E Bryan St. Johnson Square will be on your left at 2 E Bryan St. Ensure to wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated!
