    From the center of North Charleston, head to the nearest bus stop and take the CARTA bus Route 11 (North Charleston to West Ashley). Make sure to check the bus schedule for the most recent times. Ride the bus until you reach the stop at 'Old Towne Road at the entrance to Charles Towne Landing State Historic Site.' After disembarking, walk approximately 0.2 miles down Old Towne Road, and you will see the entrance to Charles Towne Landing State Historic Site on your right.

    If you're comfortable biking, you can rent a bicycle from a local rental shop in North Charleston. Start by heading west on Ashley Phosphate Road towards the West Ashley area.
