To reach McLeod Plantation Historic Site from downtown North Charleston, head to the nearest bus stop on Rivers Avenue. Take the CARTA bus route 10 toward Folly Beach. Stay on the bus for about 30 minutes and get off at the stop at 325 Country Club Dr. Walk about 5 minutes to the entrance of the plantation site.

If you prefer cycling, start at the North Charleston Coliseum and head south on Montague Avenue. Turn left onto Rivers Avenue and continue until you reach the intersection with Highway 17. Turn right and follow the bike lane. Continue for approximately 6 miles until you see Country Club Dr. Turn left, and McLeod Plantation will be on your right after a short ride.

Cross Rivers Avenue and continue walking straight for about 3 miles until you reach the intersection with Country Club Dr. Turn right, and McLeod Plantation Historic Site will be on your left after a short walk.
