Getting There

  • Public Bus

    From the center of Summerville, walk to the nearest bus stop at the corner of Main St and 2nd St. Take the CARTA bus route 10 towards Charleston. Remain on the bus for approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the stop on Folly Rd at the intersection of Old Towne Rd. From there, walk approximately 0.3 miles northeast along Old Towne Rd, and you will arrive at Charles Towne Landing State Historic Site.

  • Bicycle

    Start from the center of Summerville and head south on Main St towards US-78 W. Once you reach US-78 W, turn left and follow the road for about 5 miles. Look for the bike lane alongside the road. Continue until you reach the intersection with Old Towne Rd. Turn left onto Old Towne Rd, and after about 1 mile, you will find Charles Towne Landing State Historic Site on your right.

  • Walking

    If you prefer to walk, start at the Summerville Town Hall. Head west on Main St towards the US-78 W. Cross over to the opposite side and continue walking until you reach the intersection with Old Towne Rd. Turn left onto Old Towne Rd, and follow it for about 3 miles. Charles Towne Landing will be on your right. Please note this is a longer walk, so wear comfortable shoes.
