If you're in downtown Summerville, start at the Summerville Town Hall located at 200 S Main St, Summerville, SC 29483. Head south on S Main St towards E 3rd North St. Continue straight for about 1 mile until you reach the intersection with SC-78. Cross SC-78 and follow the signs for the Summerville Amtrak station. From the station, take the Amtrak train towards Charleston. The journey will take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Charleston Amtrak station, exit the station and head southeast on John St towards Meeting St. Turn left onto Meeting St, and after a short walk, you will arrive at Charleston City Market located at 188 Meeting St, Charleston, SC 29401.

From Summerville, you can take the Dorchester County Public Transit bus. Head to the nearest bus stop on Main St and wait for the SC-78 Express. Board the bus and ride it toward the Charleston area. The ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you disembark at the Charleston Transit Center, walk southeast along John St until you reach Meeting St. Turn left onto Meeting St, and you will find Charleston City Market at 188 Meeting St, Charleston, SC 29401.
