Bus
From Summerville, head to the nearest bus stop on Main Street. Catch the CARTA bus route 10 towards the Charleston area. Stay on the bus for approximately 35 minutes until you reach the 'Johns Island' stop. From there, transfer to the CARTA route 30, which will take you closer to Charleston. After about 15 minutes, get off at the 'Country Club Dr' stop. Walk about 10 minutes down Country Club Drive, and you will arrive at McLeod Plantation Historic Site, located at 325 Country Club Dr, Charleston, SC 29412.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from a local rental shop in Summerville. Start your ride on Main Street heading south. Continue onto the bike path along US-17. Follow the signs towards Charleston, which will eventually guide you to Country Club Drive. It’s about a 10-mile ride, which should take around 45 minutes to an hour, depending on your pace. Once on Country Club Drive, McLeod Plantation will be on your right.

Walking
For those who enjoy walking, you can make your way from Summerville to McLeod Plantation Historic Site. Start by heading to the nearest major intersection, and walk southwest along Main Street towards US-17. This route will take you through some scenic areas and local shops. It’s approximately a 7-mile walk, which could take around 2 to 2.5 hours. Once you reach Country Club Drive, turn right, and McLeod Plantation will be on your left.
