Getting There

  • Walking

    From Mount Rushmore, head south on SD-244. Continue walking for about 1 mile until you reach the junction with US-16A. Turn left onto US-16A and continue walking for another 1.5 miles. You will pass through a scenic area with views of the Black Hills. After you reach the intersection with 3rd St, turn right onto 3rd St. Continue walking for a short distance and you will find the Keystone Museum at 410 3rd St, Keystone, SD 57751 on your left.

    From Mount Rushmore, walk to the nearest bus stop located near the visitor center. Take the local shuttle service that operates in the area, which will take you to Keystone. The shuttle runs frequently, approximately every 30 minutes. Disembark at the Keystone main stop, then walk down 3rd St for about 5 minutes. The Keystone Museum will be located on your right at 410 3rd St, Keystone, SD 57751.
