As you approach the river, turn left onto Pierre Street and continue walking until you reach the intersection with Deadwood Street. Turn right onto Deadwood Street and continue walking for about a mile. The Verendrye Museum will be on your left at 44.354772 latitude and -100.3715658. Keep an eye out for the sign indicating the museum.

Starting from the Pierre Riverfront Park, bike south along the riverfront path. After about 0.5 miles, you will reach the intersection with Capital Avenue. Turn left and continue biking until you reach Pierre Street. Turn right and follow Pierre Street until you reach Deadwood Street. Finally, turn left onto Deadwood Street, and the Verendrye Museum will be located on your left after about a mile.

If you are using public transport, check the local bus service for routes that take you towards Fort Pierre. Once you arrive at Fort Pierre, disembark at the stop closest to Deadwood Street.
