If you're starting from the Pierre Public Library located at 1000 E Church St, head west on Church St toward N Pierre St. Continue walking until you reach N Pierre St, then turn right. Walk north until you reach E Sioux Ave. Turn left on E Sioux Ave and continue walking until you reach 805 W Sioux Ave. The South Dakota Discovery Center will be on your left.

Check the schedule for the 'Route 1' that stops near 805 W Sioux Ave. Get off at the closest stop to the Discovery Center, and walk a short distance west on Sioux Ave to reach the center.

If you prefer to bike, start from the center of downtown Pierre. Head west on E Sioux Ave, following the bike lanes if available. Continue straight until you reach 805 W Sioux Ave. The South Dakota Discovery Center will be on your left. Make sure to lock your bike at the designated bike rack upon arrival.
