Car
If you're driving, start by getting onto the Donghae Expressway (Expressway 65) from your current location in Gangwon Province. Follow the signs directing you toward Sokcho. After about 1-1.5 hours of driving, take the exit toward Seoraksan National Park. Once you exit, continue on Seoraksan-ro until you reach Waseondae, located on the right side of the road. Be sure to watch for the signs as you approach, as Waseondae is a popular tourist attraction.

To reach Waseondae via public transport, head to the nearest bus terminal in your current location in Gangwon Province. Look for intercity buses heading to Sokcho. The journey may take around 1-2 hours depending on your starting location. Once you arrive at Sokcho Bus Terminal, transfer to a local bus that goes to Seoraksan National Park. The bus ride should take about 30 minutes. Get off at the stop nearest to Waseondae and walk along Seoraksan-ro until you reach your destination. Ensure to check the local bus schedules as they may vary.
