From Gwangju city center, head to the Gwangju Bus Terminal (Gwangju Intercity Bus Terminal). You can take a local bus or taxi to get there. Once at the terminal, look for buses heading to Damyang. Buses to Damyang run frequently, so you shouldn't have to wait long. The journey will take about 50 minutes. Once you arrive at Damyang Bus Terminal, exit the terminal and look for the local bus or a taxi to Soswaewon Garden. If taking a local bus, take Bus 311 or 312, which will take you closer to the garden. Get off at the Soswaewon stop, and from there, it is a short walk to Soswaewon Garden.

Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from Gwangju city center directly to Soswaewon Garden. This option is more expensive than taking the bus, but it will save you time. The taxi ride will take approximately 40-50 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to show the driver the address: 17 Soswaewon-gil, Gasamunhak-myeon, Damyang-gun, Jeollanam-do.

For the more adventurous travelers, renting a bicycle in Gwangju can be a fun way to reach Soswaewon Garden. Start by heading to the Gwangju City Bicycle Rental service.
