If you are already in Dong-gu, the easiest way to reach Gwangju Castle is by walking. Start at Dong-gu Office Station (도청역) on Line 1 of the Gwangju Metro. Exit the station and head south on Gwangsan-ro. Continue straight for about 1 km until you reach the intersection with Gwangsan-dong. Turn left onto Gwangsan-dong and walk for approximately 500 meters. Gwangju Castle will be on your right at 12-2 Gwangsan-dong.
