If you are in Gwangju city center, head to the nearest bus stop. Look for buses heading towards Dong-gu or specifically for routes that mention the Jisan area. The bus number 30 is a good option. Board the bus and pay the fare (around 1,200 KRW). Stay on the bus for approximately 20-30 minutes until you reach the 'Jisan 2-dong' stop. From there, exit the bus and walk straight for about 10 minutes. You should see signs directing you to the Gwangju cable car.

From Gwangju Songjeong Station, take Line 1 of the Gwangju Metro towards the Gwangju University of Education Station. Travel for about 5 stops and get off at Dong-gu Office Station. Transfer to a bus heading towards Jisan, such as bus number 30. After a short ride (about 10 minutes), get off at 'Jisan 2-dong' stop. Walk straight for around 10 minutes to reach the Gwangju cable car.
