If you're traveling by car, head towards Gwangju-si in the Honam Region. Use a GPS and enter 'Hwadam Botanical Garden, Gyeonggi-do, Gwangju-si, Docheok-myeon, Doung-ri, 산32 1'. The botanical garden is located approximately 20 km north of Gwangju city center. Follow the signs for Docheok-myeon, and you will find ample parking available at the garden entrance. Be aware that there may be a parking fee of around 1000 KRW.

If you prefer public transportation, start by taking a bus from Gwangju city center to Gwangju Bus Terminal. From the terminal, catch a bus to Gwangju-si, Docheok-myeon. You can take bus number 1003 or 1004 which runs regularly. The journey will take about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at Docheok-myeon, you may need to take a taxi for the last 5 km to Hwadam Botanical Garden. Expect to pay around 5000 KRW for the taxi ride.
