Getting There

Walking
If you are starting from Suwon Station, exit the station and head south towards the main street (정조로). Once you reach the street, turn right and walk straight until you reach the intersection with the first major road (팔달문로). At this intersection, turn left and continue walking. You will pass by various shops and restaurants. After about 10 minutes of walking, keep an eye out for the large gate of Hwaseong Fortress (화성). The 화홍문 안내소 (Visitor Center) is located at 33-2 Haenggung-dong, Paldal-gu, right by the entrance of the fortress. The building will be on your right side, and you should see signs indicating the visitor center.

Walking
From the Paldalgu Office (팔달구청), exit the building and walk towards the main road (정조로). Cross the street and head straight. You will see Hwaseong Fortress ahead. Follow the path leading towards the fortress. As you approach, look for the 화홍문 안내소 (Visitor Center) on your left side at 33-2 Haenggung-dong, Paldal-gu. It's a short walk of about 15 minutes.

If you prefer to take a bus, find a nearby bus stop and take either Bus No. 5, 6, or 7. Get off at the 'Hwaseong Fortress' stop (화성). Once you exit the bus, head towards Hwaseong Fortress.
