Getting There

  • Walking

    From Insadong, head to the main street (Insadong-gil). Walk north towards the intersection with Yulgok-ro. Once you reach the intersection, turn right onto Yulgok-ro. Continue walking straight for about 600 meters. You will see the entrance to Changdeokgung on your left. The walk will take approximately 10-15 minutes.

  • Public Bus

    From Insadong, locate the nearest bus stop on Insadong-gil. Take bus number 172 or 9013. Ride the bus for 2 stops and get off at 'Changdeokgung' bus stop. The entrance to Changdeokgung will be a short walk from the bus stop. Make sure to have a T-money card for bus fare, which is around 1,250 KRW.

  • Subway

    From Insadong, walk to Anguk Station (Line 3). It’s about a 10-minute walk. Once at Anguk Station, take the subway heading towards Daehwa. Get off at the next stop, which is 'Jongno 3-ga Station'. From there, transfer to Line 1 and ride for one stop to 'Jongno 3-ga Station'. Exit at Exit 6. Walk straight on Yulgok-ro for about 5 minutes until you reach the entrance of Changdeokgung. The subway fare is around 1,250 KRW.
