Getting There

  • Car

    If you're driving, start from Jinju, which is well-connected by highways. Take the Gyeongnam Expressway (Route 10) and follow signs for Sancheong. Once you reach Sancheong-gun, look for Route 3. Continue on Route 3 until you see signs for Yupyeong-ri. Jirisan Daewonsa is located at 304 Yupyeong-ri, Samjang-myeon. There is parking available at the temple, but it's advisable to arrive early, especially on weekends.

  • Public Transportation - Bus

    To reach Jirisan Daewonsa using public transportation, first make your way to Jinju Bus Terminal. From there, take a bus heading to Sancheong. The ride will take approximately 50 minutes. Once you arrive at Sancheong Bus Terminal, transfer to a local bus or taxi that goes to Yupyeong-ri. The local bus service may have limited schedules, so it’s best to check the timetable in advance.
