Getting There

Car
From the center of the Yeongnam region, take the Gyeongbu Expressway (Expressway 1) towards the south. Exit at the Sangju exit (Exit 30) and follow the signs for National Route 25. Continue on National Route 25 until you reach the junction with National Route 3. Merge onto National Route 3 heading towards Jinju. As you approach Jinju, take the National Route 3 exit towards Sancheong. Follow the road signs leading to Sancheong-gun and then to Donguibogam Village. The address is 경상남도 산청군 금서면 동의보감로 555. Make sure to have a navigation app or GPS to assist you as you get closer to the village.

Public Transportation
Start by taking a train from your location in the Yeongnam region to Jinju Station. Once you arrive at Jinju Station, exit the station and head to the Jinju Bus Terminal. At the bus terminal, take a local bus heading to Sancheong. The bus ride should take approximately 50 minutes. Upon reaching Sancheong, you can either take a taxi directly to Donguibogam Village (which is around a 20-minute drive) or check local bus schedules for buses that may take you closer to the village. Make sure to check the timetable for the last bus of the day to avoid being stranded.

If you prefer a more direct route from Jinju or Sancheong, you can opt for a taxi. From Jinju Station or the Jinju Bus Terminal, taxis are readily available. The taxi ride to Donguibogam Village will take approximately 30-40 minutes from Jinju and about 20 minutes from Sancheong. Make sure to confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey. Taxis in this region usually charge by distance, so expect to pay around 30,000 to 50,000 KRW depending on your starting point.
