Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from Suwon Station, exit the station and head towards the main street (Jungang-ro). Walk straight until you reach the intersection with the large road (Seobuk-ro). Turn right and continue walking along Seobuk-ro until you see the Hwaseong Fortress entrance on your left. It should take about 20-25 minutes on foot.

    From Suwon Station, take Line 1 (Blue Line) towards Seodongtan Station. Get off at the next stop, which is Suwon City Hall Station. Exit the station and head south towards the fortress. You will see signs directing you to Hwaseong Fortress. It is approximately a 15-minute walk from the station.

    From Suwon Station, find the bus stop for local buses. Take bus number 13 or 15, which will take you directly to Hwaseong Fortress. The journey will take about 10-15 minutes. Get off at the Hwaseong Fortress stop, and you will see the entrance.
