Getting There

• Bus

  From Alicante, head to the 'Alicante Estación de Autobuses' bus station, which is located at Avenida de Elche. You can take bus line 1, which travels frequently to Villajoyosa. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Villajoyosa bus station, exit the station and walk towards the beach area. Follow the signs to Cala El Xarco, which is about a 20-minute walk from the bus station. You will pass through the town center, and you can ask locals for directions if needed.

• Train

  From the 'Alicante-Terminal' train station, take a train towards Benidorm. Get off at the Villajoyosa train station, which is approximately a 20-minute ride. Once you arrive at the Villajoyosa train station, exit the station and head towards the beach. Walk down Calle Larga and turn right at the beach promenade. Continue along the promenade until you reach the path that leads to Cala El Xarco, which will take about 25 minutes.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer to cycle, you can rent a bicycle from various rental shops in Alicante. Start your journey by heading towards the coastal road (N-332) that leads to Villajoyosa. The ride is approximately 12km and will take around 40-50 minutes. Follow the signs towards Villajoyosa, and once you arrive, navigate towards the beach area. Use a map or GPS to find the coastal path that leads to Cala El Xarco.

• Walking

  For an adventurous option, you can walk from Alicante to Cala El Xarco. This route is approximately 15km and will take around 3.5 hours. Start at the Alicante port and follow the coastal path towards Villajoyosa. The walk will take you along beautiful beaches and provide scenic views. Once in Villajoyosa, head towards the beach and follow the path to Cala El Xarco.
