Getting There

  • Train

    Start at Alicante's main train station, Estación de Alicante-Terminal, located in the city center. You can get there by taking a taxi or using the local bus lines. Once at the station, purchase a ticket to Villajoyosa (the train may also be labeled as La Vila Joiosa). Trains operate frequently, approximately every 30 minutes. The journey takes about 30 minutes. After arriving at Villajoyosa train station, exit the station and walk towards the main road (Avenida de la Libertad). From there, you can either take a local bus or walk to the beach area.

  • Bus

    To take a bus, head to the Alicante bus station (Estación de Autobuses de Alicante) which is located near the train station. Look for buses heading to Villajoyosa (check for the destination on the electronic boards). The bus ride typically takes around 40 minutes. Upon arrival at the Villajoyosa bus station, exit and walk towards the beach area, following signs that direct you to the coast.

  • Tram

    From Alicante, you can take the TRAM line L1 (the coastal tram) from the Luceros station. Board the tram heading towards Benidorm and alight at the Villajoyosa stop. The tram ride takes approximately 50 minutes. Once you get off, follow the signs to the beach or the town center, which are within walking distance.
